While continuing to offer resident visitation via Zoom, FaceTime, Skype, windows and phone calls, we are preparing to introduce another option for visitation with residents – in person.
This is only possible because the recent round of coronavirus testing completed for our residents and staff permit us to ‘re-open’ for visitation. A positive case within Homeland Center will require us to remove this option of visitation for a period of time as would a change in direction from PA Department of Health, the Governor or CMS.
We will contact the responsible parties (spouse, POA) for our residents to understand their interest in setting up an in-person visit. Those visiting should be prepared to be screened, have their temperature checked, wear a mask and practice social distancing during the visit. All of the precautions are in keeping with our successful strategy up to this point of protecting our staff and residents from the virus, and we must rely on those visiting to have that same commitment to safety.
